What’s the Role:

  • To support the detached street-based team to complete administration and planning work including working with partners to facilitate street-based projects.
  • Going out in the community as part of a team and engaging groups of young people and building relationships to carry out street based projects.
  • Ensuring that the voices of young people are sought, heard and represented appropriately.
  • Supporting the detached street-based team to deliver informal education activities e.g. leisure, sporting and art activities.
  • Supporting vulnerable young people in the community.

What’s the Role:

  • Help create Home Visiting Packs that are provided to families receiving support from the Early Help Service.
  • To photocopy, file and scan documents.
  • General office duties.
  • Provide ad-hoc admin support as required by the team.
  • To attend all relevant training before being able to volunteer unsupervised (Induction and Awareness Training and Safeguarding Training)

We are looking to fill a vacancy for a Trafford Libraries Volunteer (Children’s Activities).

What’s the Role:

  • To Support and enhance the services we offer to families in Trafford. 
  • To assist the Library and Digital Advisors in library activities and events. 
  • Lead regular Rhymetimes and Storytimes for children aged 0-5 and their families (around 30 minute session) 
  • Help facilitate our regular Lego Clubs, Craft Activities, Sensory Play or Coffee Morning sessions 
  • Facilitate any other ad-hoc family events on weekends and school holidays
