We are currently recruiting for a Domestic Abuse Prevention Worker within The Prevention Alliance.

The Domestic Abuse Prevention Worker will undertake assessments, individual sessions and group work with perpetrators of domestic abuse who have been referred to The Prevention Alliance. This role will also liaise with referring agencies and actively contribute to risk management procedures and team working across the Alliance.

This role requires a professional who has knowledge of types of abuse in domestic violence and an understanding of the impact on victims/survivors and their children. We're looking for someone with a round understanding of risk factors and who has a commitment to working in ways which prioritise the safety of those affected by domestic abuse.

This role would suit a professional who has experience liaising with social care and other professionals from a range of statutory and independent sector agencies. We're also looking for someone who can work independently, prioritise their own workload and work as part of a team.

Key Role Details: 

  • £25,377 salary

  • Full time (37 hours a week)

  • Fixed term contract until 31st March 2022 (with the possibility of extension)

  • Includes annual continued professional development allowance, annual leave entitlement and birthday leave

  • Due to current Covid-19 restrictions this role is predominately home based, however the candidate will be required to work in the Stockport community, attend face to face team meetings and one to ones (in a COVID-19 secure environment)
