We are looking for Children & Young People's Counsellors to join our domestic abuse team.
In this role you will deliver counselling to children and young people aged 5-18 years old who are struggling to manage and regulate their emotions leading to negative behaviours either in their intimate relationships or with parents/carers or siblings. This may include physical violence and/or coercive control. Most young people the role supports will also have witnessed and/or experienced some form of Domestic Abuse. The role aims to support the children and young people living with complex home lives and what they may be going through, by giving them a safe and confidential place to speak openly and express their feelings.
You’ll be a Level 5 trained counsellor with specific training in working with young people and you’ll have at least one year’s experience of working therapeutically with Children and Young People. You’ll be able to work under your own initiative, managing your own time and caseload including making appointments and arranging initial meetings.
