The Separated Parents Information Programme (SPIP) is a short course for separated parents.

This programme is designed to help parents understand the impact of any ongoing conflict on their children.

What happens on a SPIP course?

The SPIP course is for both parents, but you will attend separate courses. This allows you to get the most out of the course without having to worry about your ex-partner being there, and gives you both the space to think about each other’s perspective.

The course provides advice and support on how to support your children and make sure that any issues in you and your ex-partner’s relationship aren’t negatively affecting them.

Many parents who take part in the course say that it helps them see things in a different light and view the situation through the eyes of their children

The course will take four and a half hours including a break.

SPIP courses are delivered in groups, by skilled, trained facilitators who will help you think about possible next steps.

How can it help?

If you have been referred by the courts, the programme is free to attend.

If the courts are not involved, it costs £150 per person.

A certificate of attendance will be issued once you have completed the programme.
