Some Facts

  • Our service is Accredited by the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy and has been for over 25 years
  • All counsellors receive professional supervision on a regular basis
  • We offer integrated support. This means you can be supported by us not only through counselling, but we can refer you through appropriate external agencies and our internal pathways, giving you multiple access to agencies that can support you further.
  • We are an officially registered organisation with multiple sector memberships, awards, partnerships and adherence to the Charity Code of Governance
  • We will offer you an appointment to suit your needs and you will be guaranteed that same appointment every week.

How we work

We're quite unique as an organisation, offering a scaled guidance structure for how much you pay, based on your circumstances.

It costs us a minimum of £50 to deliver a counselling session and as a non-profit organisation, any additional donation we receive goes directly to all our services that support individuals, couples, families and communities who need it most.

We therefore ask for £50 for all initial consultations, with ongoing appointment costs based on the table below. Our pricing remains the same whether you're attending as an individual, a couple or a family.

Your well being is a priority for us and your access to our services and the quality of the service you receive will not be affected by how much you pay.

Payment Flexibility

Another benefit we offer is our flexibility to work with you through the ups and downs life can bring. We know that life can be unpredictable and that ongoing and regular support when you need it most should be there.

Should your circumstances change during your time with us, please don't hesitate to let us know and we can change your payments accordingly.

In addition, if you wish to discuss your payment options with a member of our team, please don't hesitate to call us directly, or ask for further information when you book in. We never turn anyone away.

Booking / How to make Payments

The quickest way to book with us is to request an appointment through our online form. You will be contacted within 2 working days and offered an initial appointment.

You will always pay the full amount in advance of your session and can do this over the phone with our friendly reception team by card. This payment will carry forward until you have completed your course of counselling.

Cancellations & Changes

Because your appointments will usually be a regular session reserved just for you, we do need to charge if you cancel or miss a session without sufficient notice.

We have a 48 hour cancellation policy - meaning if you cancel within 48 hours of your appointment time, you will be charged for that appointment. Full details of our cancellation policy will be included in our letter to you confirming your first appointment.

If your therapist needs to cancel a session for any reason, of course you are not charged. Your therapist will also give you advance notice of any planned breaks or holidays.

We know it may feel difficult to pay for a therapy session you were not able to attend, and if you feel there are extenuating circumstances you would like us to consider then do let us know.
