We’re excited to invite you to join TLC: Talk, Listen, Change Group’s new commercial therapy subsidiary, Now You’re Talking.

If you’re looking to expand your client base or make your first venture into self-employed counselling or therapy work, let’s start talking.

 

Now You’re Talking will provide counselling and therapy services that offer choice, flexibility, and assurance for both clients and staff. We’re looking for therapists to provide in-person and/or online support to people with a broad spectrum of issues as part of a trusted and professional network.

We’re currently seeking qualified and experienced adult counsellors, children and young people’s counsellors, relationship counsellors, and psychosexual therapists to work with us on a self-employed basis. We’ll be seeking people to deliver more types of counselling and therapy as our service grows.

Before joining Now You’re Talking, as a registered therapist, you must meet the specified criteria and agree to provide the following:

  • Name and number of your registered company.
  • VAT and IR35 details if relevant.
  • Copy of your recognised qualification certificate.
  • Copy of your current and relevant insurances such as: Public liability, Professional indemnity, Medical malpractice, Building insurance etc
  • Details of your DBS update status including level, certification number and date of issue or copy of DBS check.
  • Details of your professional registration.
  • Details of your clinical supervision provider and arrangements.
  • Copy of your safeguarding qualification (level 2 minimum)
  • Copy of your personal profile and picture to upload to our client facing portal.
  • Evidence to support your credibility to work with your advertised presenting needs.
  • Copy of your ICO registration number and expiry date
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Evidence to support risk assessment and suitability of in-person venues where needed.

Evidence of all the above will be asked during the application process.

  • Adhere to our organisational values: safe, authentic, person-centred.
  • Present yourself and your skillset authentically via a personal profile on our website.
  • Effectively manage your caseload while delivering therapy that aligns with the ethical standards of your profession and professional registration provider.
  • Follow all our policies and procedures including those on Information Governance, and Safeguarding.
  • Must be compliant with the UK Data Protection Act (2018) and General Data Protection Regulation (2018).
  • Access and utilise clinical supervision that follows the ethical standards of your profession and professional registration provider.
  • Effectively use our systems for client engagement and communication.
  • Commit to your continuous personal development in line with your profession and professional registration provider.
  • Adhere to the guidelines of NYT and your profession generally on case note recordings and the safe storage of confidential information.
  • Provide and update (where needed) information in our Employment Criteria.

Our Now You’re Talking network gives you access to valuable peer support and opportunities for learning, growth, interdisciplinary collaboration, and professional networking. Our host support system means you never need to feel lonely or isolated, and we can answer your questions around safeguarding, signposting, and subject access requests.

You receive 40% of each session payment as an Now You’re Talking therapist. The remaining 60% goes towards operational costs and supporting people who need extra assistance to access wellbeing services via our charity, TLC: Talk, Listen, Change

We will provide full training and support navigating our digital systems.

Set your own boundaries between work and personal life, while we manage client relations when you’re off the clock.

Access financial compensation if you use your own space for in-person sessions, and access discounted supervision rates and discounted specialist training. We’ll also support your journey to becoming accredited, and all other forms of professional development.
