If you’re facing issues with a former partner, or thinking about separation, we’re here to help.

We offer a range of services for separated couples, couples going through separation, or couples considering separation that can ease the experience on you and your family.

Family Mediation

Separation can be stressful and costly when children and finances become points of contention.

Our mediation services can help you and your former partner come to agreements without getting solicitors involved.

You can refer yourself to our family mediation services, or ask to be contacted by the department by clicking the link here.

Alternatively, you can call our mediation department directly by calling 0161 872 1100.

"Being able to have a safe, shared space to discuss any issues was really important. We were able to talk through things that may have been difficult to discuss outside of this environment."
What if I’m unsure about separation?

If you and your partner are looking to get things back on track, you could benefit from couples counselling.

To ensure everyone in your family has a voice, you can apply for family counselling.

We welcome children and any number of secondary family members to join our sessions.

What will work best for me?

You don’t need to make an appointment right away. You can find more information about all of our programmes below. You can also call us and have an expert help you make the right decision.

If you refer yourself to one of our services, we’ll let you know if we think you could benefit from a different programme.

For many of our programmes, we offer payment plans on a sliding scale, with concessions for those on lower incomes. We’re also a registered legal aid provider.

What do people who've worked with us say?

"We've learned to communicate better; we are able to see when things might spiral in a certain direction and how to prevent that. We’ve been able to work more collaboratively without turning towards arguments."
