Helping you to stop causing harm in your relationships.
Talking therapies that help make homes safe, healthy, happy.
Rising bills and stagnant wages are causing stress for everyone, but we understand that there are additional pressures for housing association customers. These pressures can take a toll on mental wellbeing, and poor mental wellbeing is intrinsically linked with many housing-related issues, including tenancy sustainment, rent non-payment and debt, antisocial behaviour, hoarding, homelessness, and domestic abuse.
Our counsellors have helped hundreds of housing association customers build resilience and improve their emotional health to cope with life’s challenges. Through structured counselling and wellbeing support, our skilled team support customers to process their thoughts and feelings, understand themselves better, and develop the confidence and motivation to live safe, healthy, happy lives.
Customers can choose to access counselling online, via telephone, or in-person (depending on their location). We offer a variety of booking options, staff briefing sessions for housing association employees, and regular outcome reporting.
We have years of experience supporting housing association customers to improve their wellbeing.
Our team go the extra mile to engage and retain our housing association clients.
We understand that it can be hard if you have no phone credit, concerns about being judged, or if you’ve told your story many times before. We carefully onboard all of our clients and gently remind them of appointments to alleviate worries and clarify the counselling process.
We have over 40 years’ experience delivering counselling and therapeutic programmes. We’re experts at providing support for people with complex and turbulent lives. This includes people who display challenging behaviours and may present as initially distrustful of services.
We hold several industry accreditations including Respect (since 2008) and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (since 2003).
We create a bespoke monitoring report for each housing provider we work with, understanding the need for different types of evidence, and building our data accordingly.
We balance the need for data with careful management of client dignity and confidentiality. Our team of clinical supervisors bring robustness to every aspect of our process, and we give our staff access to a wide range of personal and professional development opportunities.
We use the HACT mental health social value calculator to demonstrate the social value of progress made in counselling. The
model generates a figure using values from the HACT social value bank (based on the Short Warwick Edinburgh Mental Wellbeing Scale).
For all housing associations that partner with us, we offer:
