Not happy with the outcome of your complaint?

You can appeal the outcome of your complaint up to ten working days after the formal complaints process has ended.

We only accept appeals if one or more of the following criteria apply:

  • The complainant can provide new evidence that has not been considered
  • If they feel they have been misrepresented in some way

If you are not happy about the way your complaint has been handled you can contact the following organisations who will investigate your complaint against TLC: Talk, Listen, Change.

For Counselling Services:

A complaint about a British Association of Psychotherapy (BACP) member can be made by completing their online professional conduct complaint form. If you need help completing the form or have problems making your complaint please email BACP at [email protected] Alternatively you can download and complete a Word version of the form and send to:

For Mediation Services:

A complaint about a mediator can be made to the Family Mediation Council through their Family Mediation Standards Board by completing a complaints form which can be download here. Once completed, please send the form and any supporting documents to [email protected] If you struggle to complete the form, you can ask someone to help you to do by telephoning the Family Mediation Council office on 01707 594055 between 9am – 3pm, Monday to Friday.
