Here are some ideas to get you started.

If you have a birthday, wedding, or anniversary coming up, if you’re expecting, or celebrating retirement, why not ask for donations instead of gifts?

It’s a great way to mark an occasion and your celebration could make a real impact on the lives of people in our community.

Why not do a sponsored portrait-painting sessions with friends, and then sell your work? If you already sell arts and crafts online, why not donate some of your profits to TLC?

If you’re an aspiring chef or proficient baker, you could organise a community bake sale. Cakes always taste better if they’re bought for a good cause!

You could organise a charity pub quiz or board game night.

If you like dressing up, you could do a sponsored fancy dress event; how about using household items or rubbish to create your costume?

Sweepstakes are always popular.

Why not organise one for your favourite sport? Or get creative and see who can grow the biggest pumpkin this year!
