Leaving a gift in your will or making a major donation can support our long-term strategies.

Your generous donations help improve the lives of children, families, and communities going through abuse, crisis, and relationship breakdown.

We’re always incredibly grateful to receive a major donation — as are the people who access our services.  You may want to fund a particular role at TLC or a particular project. You may want to see your donation used to tackle domestic abuse, safeguard vulnerable children, or improve mental health in communities. However you’d like to see your gift used, we’re happy to talk through options.

There are multiple ways major donations can help our cause.
  • Championing lives: supporting victim-survivors of abuse to move forward in life with adequate safety planning and changing the behaviour of perpetrators so they choose not to abuse in future relationships.
  • Promoting education: educating young people on healthy relationships so they can develop safe, healthy, and happy relationships with friends, family, and partners.
  • Fostering innovation: coming up with new and effective programmes that improve people’s wellbeing and strengthen their relationships.

We make philanthropic giving easy and can support you through the steps you need to take.

Leaving a gift in your will

You can leave a specific amount of money, a specific asset, or a percentage of your whole estate. There’s no limit on the size or percentage you can leave.

It’s a good idea to have an estimate of the value of your estate. A solicitor will likely ask you this when you’re ready to write your will. Your total estate includes properties, possessions, savings, pensions, investments, and businesses.

A solicitor will help clarify your intentions and get them written down on paper. If you choose to leave a gift for TLC, they’ll need our full name, address, and registered charity number:

If you already have a will, you can make a simple amendment that declares your intentions to give to TLC. The amendment must include our full name, address, and registered charity number. Your solicitor will help with the amendment.
