Help us paddle for safe, healthy, happy relationships
Dragon Boat Festival is a traditional Chinese holiday, and each year, the city of Bradford hosts a dragon boat race for charity supporters to come together and celebrate, compete, and have fun. Up to 45 teams will compete in 2026 and crowds are expected to reach 30,000 people.
The dragon boat race is an athletic challenge but anyone can join with the right dedication.
The Multi Charity Championship dragon boat race takes places on Sunday, 5 July. Racers must be at least 16 or older on the day of the event.
Our team will meet at 8.30am at Roberts Park in Shipley, after which participants will be called to check in and given a safety briefing. Everyone must be able to swim up to the level stipulated in our terms and conditions.
We are asking each participant to contribute a £40 non-refundable deposit and raise at least £100. Ideally, we’d like participants to raise £182, which would fully fund an entire year of resources for a children and young people’s support group.
Food and drink can be purchased on site.
We unfortunately will not be able to compensate you for travel and accommodation.
