Counselling for housing association customers
Talking therapies that help make homes safe, healthy, happy.
Traditional talking therapies help people cultivate positive self-awareness, self-acceptance, and resilience in the face of difficult life circumstances. We provide therapy for adults, young people, and families. We also provide psychosexual therapy for individuals and partners experiences challenges with physical intimacy and self-image.
We offer additional wellbeing support through keyworkers, link workers, and volunteers that encourage people’s strengths to be part of their solution. We help people feel socially connected and engage with local communities.
Talking therapies involve sitting with a counsellor and discussing problems in your life, with the aim of helping you move past obstacles that are impacting your mental health and wellbeing. Therapy can be done online or in person.
Therapy can be used to support you with common conditions like anxiety, depression, and loneliness. It can also provide a space to work through trauma, grief, illness, abuse, and more complex, nuanced conditions or situations.
In some areas, we deliver psychosexual therapy to support people for whom emotional or psychological issues are impacting sexual functioning.
Our counsellors use a wide range of approaches. Many are integrative counsellors, meaning they work to find the best approach for your needs.
We offer free talking therapies in some parts of the UK. Find your local branch of TLC here to make an enquiry.
“Just knowing I’ve got somebody to talk to each week who will listen has been so helpful, it has made a big difference. I always look forward to my sessions.”
