Children and Young People's Support
For children who have witnessed domestic abuse.
Thriving Families is a multi-agency approach to support families with children to build safe, healthy, happy and successful futures.
What is Thriving Families?
Thriving families supports families with children over five experiencing neglect or emotional abuse, with family needs including domestic abuse and/or mental health and/or substance misuse. The programme takes a whole family approach to ensure that their family plan builds on their strengths and protective factors, and support in addressing the vulnerabilities that the family may be facing. We work in partnership with families to identify the family’s goals and ambitions for the family’s future. Thriving Families is an additional offer of support for families who have a social worker and are working with Children Services.
The importance of Thriving Families
Removing the barriers that families can face accessing the support that they want by offering support in different specialisms, all within the same team. By working families who are facing adversities Thriving Families brings together a team of professionals with specialist skills and resources to give the family the right support which they need.
