The Bradford Dragon Boat Festival is a weekend of fun for many across Yorkshire. The free-spectacle event is organised by the community of Bradford, and is expected to bring in crowds of 30,000!
For 2026, TLC are pulling together (pardon the pun!) a rowing team to join the competitive Dragon Boat Festival on the 2nd race day – The Multi Charity Championship.
We have 17 slots available (16 rowers, and 1 drummer).
Date of race: 5th July 2026
Meeting time: 8:30am
Meeting location: Roberts Park, Higher Coach Rd, Shipley, BD17 7LU
Non – refundable deposit: £40 (per person)
Minimum Fundraising Pledge: £182pp – This figure exceeds the £100 suggestion by the event hosts, as it means you fully fund the entire term of resources in our children and young people’s support groups.
Age Requirements: The minimum age is 16 years old, all participants must be able to swim to the level stipulated in the event T&C’s
What will be included:
- A Team TLC T-shirt
- A certificate for completing the challenge
- A free day-out for family and friends to support you
- A fundraising pack with everything you need to know.
- Emails about how to train, tips for fundraising, countdown until the race and lots of encouragement along the way.
What will not be included:
- Accommodation and travel
- Food and drinks (although these can be purchased on-site)
- Insurance
- Personal kit (outside of safety equipment)
