Providing volunteers to support Trafford families through the local groups they attend. Closed:
Our Early Help project, commissioned by Trafford Council, recruits volunteers to provide support in youth centres and early help hubs to staff, parents, families, young people and children.
Working with young people aged 11-25, our volunteers support with administration and reception duties at TalkShop. Welcoming the young people to the service and facilitating groups for young mums and teenagers who are expecting.
Volunteers who progress with us then support with things like:

These volunteers support staff, parents and young children aged 0-5 years in the Baby Clubs and Stay and Play sessions.
Our volunteers create a welcoming and friendly environment and provide creative play opportunities which help parents to bond with their children, and build relationships with other parents in the community.
This gives the babies and children a chance to develop their confidence, express their creativity and learn new things, which helps to prepare them for school.
Without the volunteers we wouldn’t have these fantastic sessions which me and my children love. They’ve helped me meet other Mums and are vital to stopping social isolation. – Ruby, 21
