Support for men who want to change their behaviour
Relationships are complicated and have their ups and downs, but they should never be harmful – physically, or emotionally.
Our Striving for Change programme will help you develop your understanding of unhealthy and unsafe behaviour in relationships.
(Please note: we are currently delivering this programme in Manchester and Stockport, Greater Manchester only).
What happens on the programme?
The programme provides six one-to-one sessions with a trained practitioner, who will support you to reflect on your behaviour and motivate you to make changes where necessary.
We also offer six one-to-one sessions for every participant’s partner. These sessions will provide an opportunity for your partner to talk about how they’ve been affected and process their experiences and feelings in a safe space.
We look at things like:
- Managing risk
- Safety planning
- Strategies and exercises to explore and manage unhealthy behaviours
- Signposting to other support if needed
After the programme, you may then be invited to attend one of our longer-term behaviour change programmes, which will support you to continue the work you have started.
